"There is an old saying that those who are the quiet ones are the ones to be watched and mindful of. In the beginning it was Humanity who were the quiet ones. Still young to the exploration of the stars. Like everything that soon changed."
The Idea of the Human Chronicles was for me to focus on a set universe for the characters I create such as Saul Rybok and Kagen. The universe is in turmoil and the Human race are pitted against each other in one of their biggest wars to date. I created the saga because I like Sci Fi and wanted a base of background themes for the shorter stories and stand alones. And this way not only do I have background issues and a ready made Universe in which to work in I can also move on up the timeline changing things and reverting things. The creation of worlds and single stories are endless giving me all the room I need to work from. I’ve set the
universe three thousand years into the future. The Universe of The Human Chronicles is vast and occupies many solar systems. Although there are Alien races about such as one creation of mine known as the Drazen the Alien element isn’t such a big part of the Chronicles because Humanity is more or less the dominant species. Most Alien life they have thus far encountered are more so pests or viler alien creatures of terror. Other characters that stick around and keep popping up are such as Kagen a Captain with no unit who works outside the military forces. He is mostly a pilot with a great skill. The story in which he first appears he has to hunt down a series of terrorists who work for the Coalition the enemy element I created as the opposition. However since he's returned from time to time he operates mostly in a section of space named the Damocles Gulf a highly volatile and dangerous section of space in the outer regions. Another is Sasha Steele a female character who travels on the fringes of the Federal occupied borders she’s in some ways a mercenary or bounty hunter. I’ve done a series of stand alone stories my latest The Church. I’m planning a bigger set of stories with new characters to be the main theme much like the main characters from Star Wars and the such.

Colonel Saul Rybok Colonel Saul Rybok is famed for his operations deep behind enemy lines. The Colonel works with a selection of personally selected hardcore penal criminals released from prison into the service of the Federation. The units are called Rat Packs and are considered expendable. Should a unit get into trouble they will have to find their own way to safety. The Famed Colonel Saul Rybok has also broken the law and issued to spending his Military life keeping his full rank and privileges leading rat pack units. Rybok has been considered a highly dangerous individual in himself. Coalition forces around the Sandanta and Damocles systems have heard of him. Those that no of him do not make the mistake of mis-underestimating him. The Colonel has won many a victory against the coalition. He has become that famed that the Federation value him highly for his skill in the field behind enemy lines.

The Damocles Gulf
The Damocles Gulf is renowned for its hostility surrounded by giant nebulas and raging asteroid belts, that are spread across this region. Many of the Pirates that serve the coalition come here to hide using the nebulas for cover. The Nebulas are large clouds with powerful electrical storms. The lightening within can do serious amounts of damage to the vessels if struck. most of the vessels systems shutdown. This also prevents detection and aiming of weaponry. The Federation have detached a specially trained squadron of fighters that know this system well with a station that drifts above the forest moon of langdon. The moon itself is used to train the special elites in jungle warfare.

It is a time of strife as Humanity is pitted against Humanity in a bitter struggle. Two thousand years have passed since Humanity reached past its own solar system. In the early days The quest for new worlds to colonise was a time of excitement and adventure the charting of new systems and eventually the discovery that humanity was not alone. The first of the Human Wars were fought with a race known as the Drazen a humanoid race with scaly skin. Eventually Humanity won and a fragile peace had been established. The Drazen mainly keep out of Humanity’s way. The Federation was founded shortly after the great war in order to keep the peace the Federation began to keep order amongst the newly colonised worlds but as time went on and more and more systems were discovered then colonised The Federations rule changed. And soon the outer colonies decided to declare independence from the great Federation. Those that began to oppose duly named the Coalition began to voice themselves more. Eventually skirmishes between patrolling Naval ships began in the outer systems. Mercenaries and pirates found they could hide within Coalition territory. The Federation began to accept the Coalition as a voice, yet the coalition changed those colonised in the danger zones became darker taking aide from a darker race. Soon the cult of Blood was founded now employed as a large military force. Talks broke down and war soon erupted with the coalition and the Federation. Now the coalition are able to challenge the might of the Federation and growing all the time. Soon enough whole systems became corrupted by the Coalition forces. The stories of the Human Chronicles focus on humanity three thousand years from now. The saga starts as a coalition have rebelled against the main ruling and trying to take control. The coalition were founded on the outer rims of Human Space and began to grow in numbers rapidly then by force taking world by world and achieve dominance in some of the systems. The Federation have counter attacked and have began to retake what is already lost but have since become stretched to a point of losing more than they can handle. The coalition employ many mercenary factions such as the Blood who are maniacal yet well organised into a larger than expected military force. The Federation fears for humanity should the coalition win it could spell a great loss for the race. Whatever the outcome of the great Human war it will put Humanity in a weakened state giving other races the opportunity to strike. And though the war rages those races are already taking advantage.
